Foreign Mentality Tanks： A Virgin Land for Libraries on the International Publication Exchange

欧美思想库是我们了解欧美国家政府决策的窗口,他们的研究成果与学术刊物更是我国从事国际关系研究专家的必读之物。长期以来,国家图书馆重视与各国图书馆之间的文献交换,而疏忽了与各国思想库建立交换关系,作为书刊国际交换部门,应努力同世界著名思想库建立文献交换关系,换回更多更有价值的文献。

The European and American Mentality Tanks are the open windows for us to learn about the government decisions and policies. The research achievements and the scholar journals are quite important reading materials for the experts specialized in international relations. A long time, document exchange between the National Library and the national library of other countries were emphasized, but neglect to establish the mentality tank between the country relationships. Traditional concept should be adjusted. As the international exchange of books and periodicals sector, we should be made with the famous mentality tank which would establish the document exchange relationship in the world, in exchange for more valuable documentation. 4 Refs.
