"People in Reality "and the "Starting Point" of Historical Materialism

弄清历史唯物主义的"出发点"问题具有重大的理论意义。在《德意志意识形态》中,马克思明确地将"现实的人"、"有生命的个体"作为历史唯物主义的出发点,但随着历史唯物主义理论的不断发展,"现实的人"获得新的规定,历史唯物主义的出发点也需要加以重新理解。这种新的理解不是单纯否定,而是扬弃了马克思最初关于"出发点"的理论论断。

Understanding the ＂starting point＂ of historical materialism is of great theoretical significance. In ＂German Ideology＂, Marx explicitly indicated ＂people in reality ＂ and ＂living individual ＂as the starting point of historical materialism. However, with development of the theory of historical materialism, ＂people in reality＂ acquired new provisions, thus the starting point of historical materialism also need to be reunderstood. This new understanding is not merely negation, but sublation to Marx＇s initial theory thesis of ＂starting point＂.
