Diachronic Differentiation and Common Innovation——Seeing the Genetic Relationship of Minnan Dialect and Puxian Dialect by the Meaning of Words

莆仙话与闽南话的许多共有词语之用法明显不同于闽东话,体现了词义的共同创新。即使是沿海闽语共同之词语,但就词义创新方面莆仙话也更接近于闽南话,而闽东话的许多固有说法却未见于莆仙话。这种词义上的"共同创新"之特点与莆仙话是从闽南话中分化出来的历史相关联。

Many usages of same words of Puxian dialect and Minnan dialect are obviously different from Mindong dialect, reflecting the common semantic innovation. Even the common words of coastal Min dialect, Puxian dialect is closer to Minnan dialect in semantic innovation. But many inherent statements of Mindong dialect do not exist in Puxian dialect. The characteristic of ＂common innovation＂ in the meaning of words in Puxian dialect and Minnan dialect has a close relationship with their ＂diachronie differentiation＂.
