对6个灰叶胡杨和21个胡杨种群年龄结构的研究结果表明：胡杨和灰叶胡杨各种群的年龄与胸径均呈明显的线性相关．6个灰叶胡杨种群中有5个种群结构为增长型，1个种群结构为稳定型；21个胡杨种群中有7个种群结构为增长型，14个种群结构为稳定型．影响胡杨和灰叶胡杨种群年龄结构和动态的主要因素是缺乏1～3a年龄级的个体，近年来的生境条件和人为干扰．

The results of the age structure of 6 Populus pruinosa schrenk and 21 Populus euphratica oliv populations showed that stocks of age and diameter was significant correlation, 5 growth populations, a stable age structure in 6 Populus pruinosa schrenk populations, 7 growth populations, 14 stable populations in 21 Populus euphratica oliv population, and the main factors of affecting population dynamics are the lack of 1 - 3a age - class individual on Populus euphratica oliv and Populus pruinosa schrenk age structure, habitat conditions and human interference factors in recent years.
