摘要
本文运用语料库工具和统计学中的卡方检验，考察了模糊限制语在英语原创和荚译汉文本中存在的差别。研究发现，英语原创更频繁、灵活地运用了变动型限制语，翻译文本中变动型限制语的使用则比较单一、存在机械式对应；与英语原创文本相比，翻译文本中缓和型限制语的使用频率更高。本文探讨了上述差异产生的原因及对翻译的启示。
This paper attempts to explore the differences of hedges between English original and translated-English texts based on BFSU Chinese/English Parallel Corpus by AntConc 3.2 and Chisquare test. The findings show that there are significant differences between English original texts and translated-English texts on the usage of hedges. with translated texts, the application of approximators, one type of the hedges, is more frequent and flexible Compared in English original texts, while the translated texts exploit more shields, the other type of the hedges. This paper examines the canses of the differences and makes an attempt to offer some suggestions to translation.
