Poetry Translation Done by a Poet in the Form of Poetry— A Study of Prof.Zhou Xu-liang’s Poetry Translation

This paper gives a systematic introduction of Prof. Zhou Xu-liang＇s activities and achievements in terms of poetry writing, poetry translation and the establishment of the rhythm and rhyme pattern for the new Chinese poetry before sorting out his theoretical viewpoints on poetry translation. This paper argues that Prof. Zhou＇s poetry translation is a typical ease of ＂Poetry translation done by a poet in the form of poetry＂, and a study of his poetry translation and related theoretical arguments will definitely shed light on today＇s poetry translation.
