On Shijie's Poems and Their Significance in the History of Literature in Song Dynasty

石介是北宋诗文革新运动的积极倡导者,他极斥佛老,扫荡西昆文风,掀起了北宋儒学复兴和文风改革的浪潮。在文学史上,石介以文名世,其诗不显。石介的诗歌现存一百余首,内容多书写其道德情怀,诗风质朴劲实,表现了和西昆体华丽典雅诗风迥然相异的价值取向。石介的诗歌创作和北宋诗文革新运动同声相应,是对当时西昆诗风的一种反动,开启了宋诗新的审美取向,在文学史上具有重要意义。

Shijie was an active advocate of poem reform movement in the North Song Dynasty. He denounc,ed Buddhism and Taoism, and mopped up the writing style of Xi Kun（ a school of poem in Song Dynasty） and set off a tide of reviving Confucianism and reforming style of writing. He was famous for his prose in the history of literature and few people knew his poems. The extant over 100 pomes of his are mostly about morals and emotions, thestyle of which is plain and powerful and quite different from that of Xi Kun which is elegant and 8orseous. Shijie＇ s poetic creation was just corresponding to the poem reform in North Song Dynasty and was an opposition to the styleof Xi Kun. His poems started a new esthetic orientation for Song poetry and is of great significance in the history of literature..
