摘要
隐喻在语言中普遍存在,它既是一种语言现象,也是一种认知现象。语言文化中存在着大量的隐喻现象。文化是语言的载体,文化在不同语言中所表现出的隐喻现象也是大相径庭的。而某个相同的和文化有关的词汇,在不同的语境中所暗含的意义也是不同的。如果缺少文化信息和当时的具体语境,都会对大学生英语听力的理解起阻碍作用。因此,英语教学中应重视文化的渗入,同时也要培养学生对语境的把握能力,这些对大学生英语听力水平的提高是有积极作用的。
Metaphor is a common phenomenon in language. It is not only a linguistic but also a cognitive phenomenon. There are a large number of metaphors in culture. Culture is the carrier of the language, so different languages have different cultures and metaphors within it. What' s more, the same cultural information has different implications in different contexts. Then lack of knowledge of culture in certain context will hinder the comprehen- sion in English listening. Therefore, teachers should pay more attention to increase the input of culture information and cultivate students' abilities of understanding certain context. All of this will be beneficial to the improvement of college students' English listening comprehension.
