尽管毛泽东一再试探和要求,斯大林就是不愿废除《中苏友好同盟条约》而签订《中苏友好同盟互助条约》,更不想归还中东铁路。但由于中国领导人的据理力争,鉴于当时冷战的国际形势和与中国建立同盟关系的战略利益,斯大林经过权衡利弊最终转变了态度。

Although MAO Zedong had made several attempts, Stalin didn＇ t want to abolish ＂China-Soviet Union Friendship Treaty＂ and started ＂ China and Soviet Union Alliance and Mutual Assistance Treaty＂. He had no plan to return the Middle East railway either. After the efforts made by Chinese leaders, Stalin changed his attitudes considering the importance of the relation of China and Soviet Union in the period of cold war.
