魏晋南北朝时期,各封建王朝对尊老、养老工作高度重视,制定了养老于学校、赐官爵、赐几杖等尊老、养老制度和礼仪,并采取了设置国家养老机构、收养孤寡老人、赈济生活用品、减免其家人赋税徭役、刑律优免等具体的救助措施,使老人们得以老有所养,对家庭和睦和社会秩序的稳定也起到一定的积极作用。
