Cultural Considerations of the Construction of a Modern Metropolis in Harbin:"Style","Spirit","Inheritance" and "Atmosphere"

城市化、都市化是经济全球化的基本特征。健全完善人文体系是建设现代大都市的重要内容和基本尺度,而人文体系至少包括城市的形体建设、城市的精神函育、城市的历史传承和城市的文化氛围,他们分别可以用"风格"、"气度"、"基脉"和"神韵"加以概括和提炼。哈尔滨只有将"风格"、"气度"、"基脉"、"神韵"科学整合和有机统一,建设现代大都市的目标才有望实现。同时,也为国内其它向现代大都市定位和发展的城市提供一种参照和启发。

Urbanization and metropolitanization are the basic characteristics of the economic globalization. Establishing and perfecting the humane system is the most significant task and basic measure for the construction of modern metropolises. The humane system, at least, involves the construction of the appearance, the development of the spirit, the historical inheritance and the cultural atmosphere of the city, which may be respectively summarized as ＂ style＂, ＂spirit＂, ＂inheritance＂ and ＂atmosphere＂. Only when ＂style＂, ＂spirit＂, ＂inheritance＂ and ＂atmosphere＂ are scientifically integrated into a whole can the goal of Harbin＇s building a modern metropolis be achieved. At the same time, it can also provide reference and inspiration for the orientation and development of other modern metropolises.
