Since the founding of the People＇s Republic of China in 1949, Yunnan Province has tried to find out suitable ways for its economic development and made much progress. Its precious experience includes the following： It should adhere to economic development that keeps up with the times and has Chinese characteristics ; it should carry out market reform and opening to the outside world; it should base its economic development on humanistic consideration and lay a solid foundation for sustainable development.
