连续硬膜外麻醉是我国较广泛应用的麻醉方法之一，特别是基层医疗机构，是经济、安全、实用的麻醉．但是随着社会经济、文化水平的提高逐渐被全身麻醉取代，特别是经济文化发达的大都市，硬膜外阻滞麻醉很少被应用。

Continuous epidural anesthesia is widely used in China than the one of the methods of anesthesia, especially in primary health care institutions, economic, safe, practical anesthesia, but as social, economic, and cultural level is gradually replaced by general anesthesia,especially economic and cultural development of the metropolis,epidural anesthesia is rarely used.
