摘要
传统概念上,公众英语演讲属于文体修辞学及交际学的研究范畴,本研究是对倡导在英语专业教学中系统展开公众英语演讲教学的合理性和必要性的一次跨学科理论探索。研究首先着眼于厘清目前二语习得以及语言教学研究中根本性课题——中介语石化的研究重点,嫁接认知语言学中"概念隐喻能力"理念于交际语言能力框架下的各个维度之中,论证其作为突破石化的重要途径的核心价值及可行性,进而阐释公众英语演讲教学在培养学习者目标语概念流利性、概念隐喻能力、交际语言综合能力以及思辨和创新能力方面的直接关联性。
Public speaking traditionally belongs to the sphere of rhetoric and communication studies. The research is essentially a cross-disciplinary theoretical exploration into the rationality and necessity of systematically undertaking public speaking teaching for English majors. It first delineates the research loci of interlanguage fossilization--the most intrinsic issue within the domain of current study in second language acquisition and language teaching, and then supplements the cognitive linguistic notion of "conceptual metaphoric competence" to testify its core value and feasibility in dissolving fossilization at various dimensions under the framework of communicative language ability. It continues to clarify the direct relevance of public speaking to cultivating learners' conceptual fluency, conceptual metaphoric competence, comprehensive communicative language ability as well as their critical and innovative capability in the target language.
