《汉书评林》探微

A Detailed Study of HANSHUPINGLIN

凌稚隆是明代万历时贡生,自幼喜好《史》、《汉》,他搜录万历六年以前历代研究《汉书》的优秀成果,撰成《汉书评林》。此书并非明代其它摘抄、评点本可比,它不仅汇集了历代研究《汉书》的精粹,且其间亦蕴含着凌氏的真知灼见。此书为后世研究《汉书》在内容、体例和版本等方面提供有益的借鉴,因此,不能因其名为《评林》,就忽略凌稚隆研究《汉书》的成就以及《汉书评林》的学术价值。

As a gongsheng of Ming Dynasty, Ling Zhilong was indulged in SHICHI and HANSHU since childhood. Based on the fine achievement in the study of HANSttU before 6th year of Wanli Period, he compiled HANSHUPINGLIN. It overmatches other extracting and commenting books of Ming Dynasty for it not only embodies the best feature of HANSHU research in past dynasties but also includes Ling＇s own profound insights. It can benefit the later researchers in the study of contents, arrangement and edition of HANSHU. So, it is unfair to neglect the academic value just because it is a commenting book.
