Traditional Painters Gathering in Macao in Early 20th Century

中国的澳门特区由于其独特的地理位置和历史背景,在20世纪前期的美术发展过程中呈现了较为特殊的艺术形态。那里曾经是中国内地画家的聚集之地,由于他们流寓澳门,为原本较为冷清的澳门画坛带去了新的活力。本文从岭南画派高剑父以及弟子在澳门,国内画家寓居澳门等个案,说明一时聚居澳门的传统画家对澳门所做的重大贡献。

With its particular geographical feature and historical background,Macao presented some special artistic phenomena in early 20th century.In that time,painters from Chinese mainland gathered here and brought new life to Macao painting circle.Taking Gao Jianfu as an example,the present article discusses the great contribution immigrant painters made to Macao.
