目的论指导下政府网站新闻编译——以中国政府网为例

A Study of News Adaptation in the Governmental Website from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

目的论强调,翻译是有目的的行为,而翻译目的又取决于目的语读者。读者决定翻译策略。本文以中国政府网中新闻编译实例为研究对象,指出增译、删减、改写、拆分、合并等具体编译方法的使用主要受目的语读者需求的影响,进而得出编译在政府网站新闻翻译中的可行性和必要性,从而为各级网站新闻翻译提供可借鉴的经验。

Skopos theory attaches much importance to the role of the target reader.In other words,the target reader is a crucial factor in translation and determines the translation process.After the analysis of the news adaptation practices in the website of the Central People＇s Government of the PRC,it comes to a conclusion that the using of the relative adaptation methods such as addition,deletion,rewriting,combination and division is decided by the needs of the target reader.Moreover,this thesis aims at exploring the feasibility and necessity of adaptation in the news translating process,so as to shed new light on other website news translation.
