Under the guidance of the theory offunctional translation,this paper generalizes certain typical problems in the public signs translation of Longmen grottoes scenic area in Luoyang and analyzes the reasons behind these problems,which greatly affects the international image of Longmen grottoes and even Luoyang.It is hoped that it will call for more serous attention to the matter,in order to purify the language in the scenic area,improve its international level and promote it better.
