Sitcom has its unique characteristics which include lots of cultural load words.It is different from general movies and TV play series,so the translation of sitcom often causes culture default.Meanwhile,the humor of sitcom not only includes linguistic humor,but also includes non-linguistic humor,such as the actors＇ movements,props,background music and so on.Therefore,in the process of translating sitcom,all these factors should be taken into account.According to the characteristics of sitcom,this paper proposes relevant strategies to compensate default information.
