袁世凯与济南城市早期现代化

Yuan Shikai and Early Modernization of Jinan City

在清末济南城市发展的过程中,袁世凯的作用非常突出。他不仅仅在任职山东巡抚时期首开山东新政,在济南实施一系列的现代化措施,诸如创办山东大学堂,设立商务局等,更为人称道的是,1904年他与巡抚周馥,将济南开辟为自开商埠,并对其建设、发展给予多方面的支持。袁世凯对济南城市早期现代化,做出了多方面的贡献。

Yuan Shikai played an important role in the development of Jinan in late Qing dynasty.While serving as the governor of Shandong province,he carried out a series of measures to promote the modernization steps of Shandong.What's more,he made Jinan a self-opened commercial port and supported its construction and development on many aspects.
