This paper expounds the necessity of the current construction of landscape garden city from aspects of the root causes and purposes of urban landscaping,the functions of urban landscaping and the measures for creating landscape garden city,analyzes the relationship between urban landscaping and people＇s life and production,discusses that urban landscaping is an important element for constructing harmonious society,and puts forward some methods and measures for constructing landscape garden city.
