OUTLINE / Octogenarian singer and opera artist Lou Qiangui has been a winner of the Golden Bell Awards for lifetime achievement. A performer at the China National Opera before his retirement,Lou has played leading roles in Madama Butterfly and Eugene Onegin. He also released solo recordings, and many of his songs were all-time hits.In his retirement,Lou writes,teaches,records and plays the role of artistic director,sometimes even gracing the stage.
