南方科技大学:一次现代大学制度的试验——从朱清时出任南方科技大学校长说起

南方科技大学(筹)通过海选推举出朱清时作为创校校长,朱清时校长又以去行政化作为南方科技大学的基本特色,并推出授予学校自己文凭的举措,这一系列动作表明南方科技大学在进行一场现代大学制度的试验。但大学与政府关系的建构仍然是制约南方科技大学发展的核心问题,办学质量能否被社会认可是其成败的关键。而这一切都取决于它能否真正建构出并且坚持住自己的办学特色。

Zhu Qingshi was chosen as the first president of South University of Science Technology of China（SUSTC） through a nationwide selection.He takes the de-administration as the basic feature of this new university.And now SUSTC is ready to grant its own diplomas and degrees.All these actions show that the school is making a test of the modern university institution.However,the present school-government relationship is still the main factor restricting its development.The key to its success lies in the approval of its school-running quality by society,which depends on whether it can form and maintain its distinctive features.
