中国共产党90年来推进马克思主义时代化的基本经验，可以集中概括为“八个结合”，即：把坚持马克思主义与发展马克思主义结合起来；把认清国际形势与认清国内阶段性特征结合起来；把回答时代课题与探索相关规律结合起来；把推进马克思列宁主义时代化与推进毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系时代化结合起来；把推进马克思主义时代化与指导中国革命、建设和改革的实践结合起来；把坚持党的领导与尊重人民首创精神结合起来；把总结国内经验与借鉴国际经验结合起来；把推进马克思主义时代化与推进马克思主义中国化、大众化结合起来。

The fundamental experience for propelling the contemporariness of Marxism for the past 90 years since the Communist Party of China was founded can be essentially summarized as ＂eight combinations＂. Firstly, combine sticking to Marxism with developing Marxism; secondly, combine a clear understanding of international situations with a clear understanding of domestic periodical characteristics; thirdly, combine solving the subjects of the present era with exploring relevant laws; fourthly, combine propelling the contemporariness of Marxism with propelling the contemporariness of Mao Zhedong thought and the China--specific socialist theoretical system; fifthly, combine propelling the contemporariness of Marxism with guiding the practice of Chinese revolutions, constructions and reforms ; sixthly, combine adhering to the leadership of CPC with respecting the innovative and original spirit of the people; seventhly, combine summarizing domestic experience with drawing on international experience; and eighthly, combine propelling the contemporariness of Marxism with propelling the Sinicization and popularization of Marxism.
