摘要
本研究旨在利用LOCNESS,CLEC,COLSEC对中国英语学习者短语动词的使用情况进行探究。通过本族语学习者与中国学习者的对比,语义透明的短语动词与语义模糊的短语动词使用情况的对比以及短语动词在中国学习者书面语和口语中使用情况的对比,研究结果显示短语动词自身的语义特点以及习得顺序对中国学习者的使用影响较大。此外,本研究还发现短语动词在中国学习者的书面语中使用更为频繁,这与本族语者恰恰相反。根据以上特征,文章最后提出了对外语教学的启示。
Taking advantage of LOCNESS, CLEC, and COLSEC, this research aims to achieve a comprehensive and indepth view of the use of multi-word verbs among Chinese learners of English. Through the analysis of the data from the corpora, it is found that the idiosyncratic features of the multi-word verbs impinge on their use. The features in this study include semantic transparency and sequence of learning. Moreover, this study explores the use of multi-word verbs in Chinese learners' spoken English for the first time. The result demonstrates that contrary to the native speakers, Chinese learners use multi-word verbs more frequently in written English. Based on the above findings, the paper proposes suggestions for future study.
