Banks face opportunities and challenges during the 12th Five-year plan period. Banks should change the traditional growth model and improve core competitiveness by innovation. China＇s banking industry should strengthen the integration of business innovation and technology innovation to achieve breakthrough in management innovation, product and services innovation, and channel innovation. To promote the interactive integration of business innovation and technology innovation, commercial banks should ensure the overall consistence of IT strategy, IT framework and bank＇s strategy, strengthen information standardization and integration, improve IT governance and IT risk management, improve internal innovative mechanism, and promote the cultivation of compound talents.
