Status Quo and Future of the International Collaboration in Libraries' Cataloging

图书馆编目从开始的孤立状态必然会向国际协作发展。从国际协作编目的背景出发,论述了OCLC的国际协作编目理念,评述了MACS、VIAF、LEAF三个国际协作编目的连接计划,并以RDA的FRBR模型为契机提出建立标题规范文档的设想。

The library cataloging, from its isolation status at the beginning, is bound to develop towards international collaboration. From the background of the international cooperative cataloging, this paper reviews three link projects： MACS, VIAF and LEAF. And with the opportunity of RDA＇s FRBR model, it also puts forward the idea of establishing title--normative documents.
