当前可持续发展成为全社会努力的方向和目标,教育的可持续发展和其中的关键要素——教师的可持续发展日益成为人们的普遍期望。随着信息技术的发展,多媒体和网络技术大量应用于外语教学,学生很大程度上成了自主学习者,那么对教师的要求就有了变化,而教师就要根据当前形势及时转换角色,以促进其职业的可持续发展。

At present, sustainable development has become a social trend. The same is true with education, teachers in particular. With the information technology fast developing, the application of multi-media and network in language teaching has made students more or less autonomous learners. As a result, university teachers are supposed to make every effort to make their career development sustainable.
