Review of the Study on Native Hainan Culture

海南本土文化研究既是一门传统学科,又是一门新兴学科,它经历了一个研究成果不断涌现,人才队伍不断壮大,研究机构和研究阵地不断完善的过程。但从未来着眼,海南本土文化研究仍然存在基础薄弱、人员分散、资金匮乏、能力不强等诸多不足,亟需从规划、实施和体制机制等方面加强管理,使其能够更好地为海南国际旅游岛建设服务。

The study of native Hainan culture is not only a traditional but also a new subject. It has undergone a course from emerging to rapid development with the growth of the number of research staff and institutions. However, viewed from the future, it still suffers from the defects of weak foundation, dispersed staff, lack of research funds, insufficient research ability and so on. So it needs to be improved by means of reasonable planning, effective counter measures, and management mechanism, which can also better serve Hainan Island＇ s goal to become an international tourist destination.
