Talking on the British Nationalism from Mary I's Failing

16世纪都铎宗教改革是中世纪晚期以来英国民族主义发展的产物。它作为都铎君主专制的实现途径,不但促进了英国民族国家的建立,也体现着社会转型时期英国历史发展的基本特点。玛丽女王时期的宗教反复,虽然只是14世纪到17世纪这四百年间英国民族主义发展中的一个不和谐插曲,但是,它却给人们提供了一个有力佐证,就是由于民族主义已经成为推进社会进步的主导因素,任何形式的倒行逆施都是不得人心的,她的失败就是英国民族主义的胜利。

The Reformation, which took place in the Tudor Dynasty, was the product of development of the British nationalism. As a way to the absolute monarchy, it not only promoted establishing of the English national state, but also embodied the general features of the British historical progress in the social transformation period of England. Although the Count-Reformation in the reign of Mary I was a disharmony interlude in the development course of the British nationalism in the 14-17 centuries, but it became absolutely a kind of forceful evidence that the nationalism had become a dominating factor to impel the British social progress, and all the actions contrary to advance of the times would inevitably be unpopular. Mary I＇ s failing was the victory of the British nationalism.
