The major defects of Records of Ritual Systems in History of Song（《宋史·礼志》）can be summed up into 13 types：the errors caused by following the old history,different record of changing the title of a reign,the inaccurate names of the people,the false time,the confusion of the historical events,the repetition of the historical events,the omitting of the words and the superabundance of the words and the wrong words,the wrong historical materials,the errors caused by the unclear historical events,the naming taboos not being corrected,the self-contradiction of the narrative,reversing the words,the wrong deletion and summary.These problems should be taken into full consideration.We should carefully search the source of the history in order to make clear the original meaning of the historical materials.
