摘要
荆楚文化历史悠久,源远流长,影响深远。楚国自周初分封至民国末期,横亘古今三千余年,其文化发展之轨迹可分为先秦荆楚文化、中世荆楚文化、近世荆楚文化、近代荆楚文化四个历史阶段。荆楚文化在近代转型时期的基本文化特性主要表现为爱国恋乡、崇尚革新、兼容开放、经世致用、机智狡巧、刚悍劲直、尚武好勇、喜好舞乐、奢靡享乐、敬鬼重祀、多元并存等。
Jingchu（荆楚）culture has a long history and far-reaching influence on later ages.Since the early Western Zhou Dynasty,Chu（楚）emerged under the enfeoffment system and its people lived in remote Jingshan（荆山）.Jingchu culture can be divided into the pre-Qin period,medieval period,pre-modern period and modern period.The fundamental traits of Jingchu culture in transition period are embodied in love for the country and hometown,advocating innovation,compatibility and openness,putting what is learned into practice,tact and trickiness,martial courage,etc.
