Surveying and mapping industry is an indispensable social welfare sector of the national economy and social development. The basic functions of surveying and mapping industry is to timely, accurately, reliably guarantee the demand of national management, economic construction, national defense, scientific research, cultural education and people＇s lives for mapping information products and technologies. This paper simply analyzes the status quo and outlook of surveying and mapping industry in Yanshi and important measures for the development of surveying and mapping.
