摘要 电子光学模拟器(Electron Optics Simulator,EOS)是微波管模拟器套装的重要组成部分。EOS是一个用于模拟设计微波管中轴对称电子枪、栅控电子枪、多注电子枪、带状注电子枪和轴对称及非轴对称多级降压收集极的二维和三维有限元模拟软件。本文介绍了EOS的最新进展。为进一步提高计算精度和计算速度,EOS主要作了以下七点改进:①引入了比一次插值函数精度更高的二次插值函数;②增加了瞬态计算模块以模拟瞬态特性;③采用局部对称计算方法,减少了计算资源消耗,提高了计算速度;④增加了二维模块,提高了轴对称电子枪和收集极的计算速度;⑤研发了64位版本EOS,突破了32位版本的内存限制;⑥使用LU分解法求解矩阵,提高了有限元矩阵求解速度;⑦基于OpenMP并行计算技术,提高了计算效率。 Here we addressed the latest improvement of the electron optics simulator(EOS) software,a constituent part of the software package,called the microwave tube simulator suite.The discussions centered on the applications of EOS,a finite 2-and 3-dimentional steady-state beam trajectory code,in simulations of the axisymmetric guns,grided-guns,multibeam guns,and multistage depressed collectors.The latest improvements of the EOS include:① introduction of the quadratic interpolation function results in a higher accuracy than the linear interpolation function;②its time-domain model is capable of simulating the transient characteristics;③ its localized symmetric algorithm significantly reduces calculation time;④ its 2-D module uses less memory space,and shortens the computation time in the simulation of problem involving symmetric and/or axisymmetric structures;⑤ its 64-bit code removes the memory limitation of the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows XP;⑥ the addition of LU decomposition speeds up the matrix solution;⑦its parallel computing method,based on OpenMP,simulates particle trajectory much faster than before.
