职业道德，就是同人们的职业活动紧密联系的符合职业特点所要求的道德准则、道德情操与道德品质的总和，它既是对本职人员在职业活动中行为的要求，同时又是职业对社会所负的道德、责任与义务。海员，是一个特殊的群体，常年远离家乡，航行在海上，工作生活在“浮动的国土”上，工作性质光荣、神圣而艰苦，他们的职业道德也有其特殊性。

Seaman is a special group,being away from home and sailing on the sea for a long time.They work and live with the 'fl oating homeland'.Their job is divine,glorious and hard,their professional ethics also has its particularity.Due to the change of the social environment and the descending of seafarers' professional attraction,it is significant to emphasize seafarers' professional ethics construction in the new period.The construction of seafarers' professional ethics is concerned with seafarers' team stability,national maritime career development and national economic power.
