语言规划视角下中国高校校名的英译问题研究

A Study of English Translation of Chinese University Names From the Perspective of Language Planning

随着对外文化交流的发展,我国高校都拥有了自己的英文名字。但是,目前高校校名的英译状况非常混乱,其原因非常复杂,造成了对外交流的误解,影响了学校在国际上的发展。因此,很有必要从语言规划的视角来探讨中国高校校名的英译问题,进而提出一个解决此问题的方案。

With the development of cultural exchanges,Chinese universities should have their own English names.However,because of the very complicated reasons,the English translation of those universities is very confusing which results in the misunderstanding and affects the communication between Chinese universities and foreign ones.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the problem of the English translation of Chinese university names from the perspective of language planning.
