在《伤寒杂病论》中,张仲景系统阐述了寒证、热证、寒热错杂证的辨治规律。真寒假热之证,当辨明疾病本质,治宜破阴回阳,宣通内外上下;内外寒热并见之证,当分清表里虚实,治宜外散表寒,内清里热;上下寒热错杂之证,当分清病位病性,治宜寒温同施,上下兼顾;寒热互结中焦之证,当明辨痞满虚实,治宜寒热并用,通上下交阴阳。

Zhang Zhongjing described the differentiation and treatment principles of cold syndrome,heat syndrome and cold-heat complicated syndrome in Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases.As to the pseudo-heat syndrome,the nature of the disease should be identified and breaking yin to restore yang and diffusing the interior and exterior,the up and down should be stressed in the treatment.As to the syndrome of cold and heat existing both inside and outside,the interior and exterior,deficiency and excess should be distinguished,and dissipating the exterior cold and clearing the interior heat be stressed in the treatment.As to the syndrome of mixed cold and heat in the upper and lower,the nature and location of the disease should be identified;cold and warm drugs should be administrated simultaneously.As to the syndrome of cold and heat stagnated in the middle energizer,the stuffiness and fullness,deficiency and excess should be differentiated,expelling the cold and heat,clearing the upper and lower to cross yin and yang be stressed in the treatment.
