Urgent Pressure of Aging Population

预计到2053年左右,中国老年人口将达到峰值,约4.8亿人。这对处于起步阶段的中国老年医疗卫生服务体系而言,无疑是个巨大挑战。

'At the beginning of 21st century, China entered aging society, one of the earliest developing countries becoming aging society. At present, the aging population in China accounts for 20% of the whole aging population in the world, about 200 million, the same as the whole population in Japan; increase to 300 million by 2025, the same as the whole population in US; and become more than 400 million by 2037.' Rao Keqin, the chief secretary of Chinese Medical Association, only uses a few numbers to show the urgent pressure of aging population in China.
