The life has been changed a lot in the old alley of Suzhou city nowadays while travelers from all over the world go and see the special beauty of the old alley.The article shows how the people living there use the outside spaces in different styles,and how the traditional habits effect the communications between neighbors.As the environment is being destroyed and modern convenient living styles are kept away for cultural heritage protection,some typical ways of outdoor life in the old alley have been lost and the local people want to live in modern buildings instead of the beautiful old alley houses in the eyes of tourists.A study on the growing of landscape in the alley is made to make a deep thinking on the relationship between tradition and modern times.
