There is a trend among higher vocational colleges to reach network distance education. The paper analyses technical support needed in network distance education. The promotion of distance education could help to develop higher vocational education, it not only solves the resources conflicts between the society and school but also trains students＂ the professional skills to increase students＇ability of competition and serves for local economy andsocial development, finally the paper puts forwards some measures of developing modern distance education in higher vocational education.
