This paper introduces the Hourglass Model in lesson sequencing. In the meantime, based on the phenomena that Physical Education Majors in College are quite different in their family backgrounds, knowledge levels and self - control abilities and that the quality of English teaching isn＇ t so good because of the big class teaching, this paper tries to provide some concrete solutions to these phenomena, and applies the Hourglass Model to the teaching planning, thus draws a conclusion that it is a practical and effective approach in English teaching for the Physical Education majors.
