科学具有中心性还是地方性——对桑德拉·哈丁科学观的思考

Science:central or local——Reflecting on Sandra Harding's scientific View

欧洲传统科学观认为,科学在欧洲取得重大成就是由于欧洲人在人品和文化上都优越于非欧洲民族,并以欧洲科学作为衡量其他民族有无科学的标准,从而形成"欧洲中心主义"。桑德拉.哈丁指出,科学都是"地方性知识",不存在中心性。科学研究都具有地方性,不同的文化知识为促进知识的增长提供了重要资源。

The traditional European scientific view maintains that the reason why science in European countries blossomed is that European races are superior to non-European races in both culture and moral quality. Europe- an science is regarded as the standard to judge whether there＇s science in other nations,which is called ＂European centralism＂. But Sandra Harding pointed out that all science is local knowledge, it has no central characteristics. All of scientific researches have local characteristics and different cultures provide important resource to promote the richness of knowledge.
