摘要
报告了英语词汇习得中语块作用的实证研究结果。以最新的国内外语块研究成果为理论基础,以语块教学理论为指导,通过实验前、中、后期词汇习得测试和问卷调查,结合定性和定量分析来探求语块在英语词汇习得中的作用。结果表明,语块能显著提高学生英语词汇习得能力。因此,英语词汇教学的重点之一应置于语块教学。
This paper reports the results of an empirical study of the role of Chunks in English vocabulary ac- quisition. This study, based on the up-to-date research on Chunks abroad and at home and the theory of Lexical Approach, aims to investigate the effects of chunks on English vocabulary acquisition by qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data from vocabulary acquisition tests and questionnaire in the experiment. It turns out that Chunks can help improve the students' ability in English vocabulary acquisition significantly. Such being the case, one major focus of English vocabulary teaching and learning should be Chunks.
