US Trade Union Movement and the Communist Party of US in the Context of Global Financial Crisis

金融和经济危机给美国工人造成很大打击,引起工会的反抗,美国左翼工会人士针对把美国失业归罪于中国的媒体舆论,呼吁美中工人和工会之间应加强理解与合作。金融和经济危机在客观上为美共的发展创造了机会,美共把反资本主义的斗争与工会运动相结合,利用网络等现代化手段和灵活的策略,扩大党的社会基础和党员队伍,各项工作取得新进展。资本主义危机不仅危及下层劳动者,而且伤及作为西方社会砥柱的中产阶级,这为新的工人运动和其他社会运动的兴起提供了客观条件。世界社会主义的研究应该扩展视角,不仅关注共产主义运动,还要关注工人运动的新动向。

The recent global financial and economic crises have dealt a heavy blow to the American workers,prompting a strong resistance from trade unions throughout the United States.The US public media has accused China's export for the stubborn US unemployment.In response to that allegation,the left-wing union workers of the US call for greater understanding and closer collaboration between the workers and trade unions of the two countries.The global financial and economic crises have,in reality,created a good opportunity for the Communist Party of the United States of America(CPUSA) to grow.Taking the advantage of Internet and pursuing a flexible tactics,the CPUSA has broadened its social foundation and enlarged its membership.Capitalist crises jeopardize not only the livelihood of lower classes of working people,but also that of the middle classes who constitute the mainstream of western societies.This situation has virtually provided the objective circumstances for the resurgence of labor movements and other social campaigns.The study of world's socialism should expand its perspectives,not confining its attention to the communist movement,but also gazing at the new developments of labor movement.
