外商直接投资作为国内总投资的重要组成部分,对我国经济增长方式的转变和经济结构的改善起到了重要作用。目前我国外商直接投资的结构特点主要表现为:从内部结构来看,外资企业直接投资是主要的投资方式;从来源结构来看,亚洲特别是香港是外资的主要来源地;从空间结构来看,东部沿海地区的外商投资高度集中,中西部较少;从产业结构来看,外资主要投向了第二产业,其次是第三产业。

Foreign direct investment,a component of total domestic investment,plays an important role in the change of the ways of economic increase and the improvement of economic structure in our country.The characteristics of foreign direct investment in China are reflected in： From the internal structure,direct investment of foreign-owned enterprises is the major way;From the source structure,Asia,especially Hong Kong is the major source of foreign capital;From the spatial structure,foreign investment concentrates highly in China＇s eastern coastal areas and less investment in central and west regions;From the industry structure,foreign capitals are mainly invested in secondary industry,tertiary industry comes next.
