在当前国际国内全新的历史背景下,中共十七届四中全会提出大力推进马克思主义中国化、时代化、大众化。这既是当代中国共产党人的马克思主义观的集中体现和庄严宣示,也是当前推进马克思主义理论创新的重大任务和根本目标导向。中国特色社会主义理论既是马克思主义中国化、时代化、大众化的理论结晶,又是在新的历史起点上推进马克思主义"三化"的理论指导。因此,以我们正在做的事情为中心,着眼于马克思主义理论的应用,着眼于对实际问题的理论思考,着眼于新的实践和新的发展,立足中国国情、研究中国问题、反映时代精神、回答时代课题、引领时代潮流,关注大众需求、回应大众关切、解答大众困惑,乃是当代中国共产党人深入推进马克思主义中国化、时代化、大众化的必由之路。

In the bran-new background both at home and abroad,the Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the CPC proposed advancing the process of sinicization,modernization and popularization of Marxism.It is not only a concentrative embodiment and solemn manifesto of contemporary Chinese communists' outlook on Marxism,but an important task and radical target direction to advance Marxist theoretical innovation.The socialist theories with Chinese characteristics are theoretical distillate of sinicization,modernization and popularization of Marxism,as well as theoretical guidance to carry out the process on a new historical starting point.Hence,with an eye to application of Marxism,theoretical reflection on realistic problems,new practice,and new development,the contemporary Chinese communists should center on what they are doing,which is the only way to forge ahead the process.
