体育运动是一种文化实践。在闲暇时间增多、经济充裕的现代社会中,它是不可缺少的生活方式。东方与西方虽然地理位置不同,历史积淀不同,但人们向往美好生活的愿望是相同的。2008年北京奥运会的成功举办,说明在全球化的今天,重视传统、尊重现实,保护民族(地域)体育文化,积极参与奥林匹克盛会,参与全球体育文化交流,促进社会和谐发展,是东西方体育发展的共同目标。

Sports are cultural practice,an indespensible part in the modern society with more leisure tie and more advanced economy.For the eastern and western society,people have the same wish for a better life.The successful hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games demonstrates that it is the identical goal for the eastern and western sports development to attach importance to the tradition,to the reality,to the protecion of the national or regional sports culture,to the participation of the Olympic Games,to the communication of global sports culture and to promote the social harmony.
