摘要
为了实现GIS中异构与多源数据的有效集成与共享,笔者论述了元数据的定义及其在信息系统中的作用,并对多源与异构数据集成模式进行了比较研究。最终针对"数据格式转换模式"与"直接数据访问模式"两种模式探讨了GIS中数据集成的方法与技术,并将元数据理论融入数据集成技术中,实现了基于元数据的GIS中数据集成。
In order to implement the effective integration and sharing for the heterogeneous and multi-sources data in GIS, this paper discusses the definition of metadata and its role in GIS and it also takes a comparative study for the integration model of those data. Then it discusses the data integration methods and technology about "data format transformation model" and "direct data access model". This paper merges the metadata theory into data integration technology to implement the data integration based on metadata in GIS.
