This paper reviews the situation of the objects of library science,library profession,library spirit,library rights,public libraries and other basic theories.It also presents the issues of basic theory research of library science faced.This article maintains that the basic theory research of library science in China over the past decade has yielded fruitful results and it is in a period of prosperity and diversity.33 Refs.
