关系问题是罗素哲学的核心问题之一,在不同时期罗素都对这一问题进行过阐释。罗素将关系视为世界的基本元素。在其理论的不同时期,关系联结的最终对象有所不同,包括项、殊体和共相、事件或性质。罗素坚持关系不可还原,认为关系命题和主谓命题是两类命题,主谓命题里的谓述是一种伪关系。

The problem of relations is one of Russell＇s central concerns in his philosophy. Russell regarded relations as fundamental elements of the world. The ultimate relata of relations are of different kinds in different periods： terms, particulars and universals, events or properties. Russell insisted the distinction between subject-predicate propositions and relational propositions, and he did not consider predication as a true relation.
